PROJECT: SPECIAL EVENTS - 75th ANNIVERSARY (2005)

SP STUDIOS designed and produced a series of invitation packages (invitation, reply cards, outer and reply envelopes) for each school at the renowned Institute for Advanced Study to celebrate the Institute’s 75th Anniversary. Creating original photography of the campus, and digitizing the 1930s sculptural-relief medallion (created in 1930 by Pierre Turin), SP Studios used iconic imagery, unique asymmetric tri-panel design-form, and metallic inks to code each school and their invitation and program materials - blue for mathematics, orange/copper for historical studies, green for natural science, etc. The Mathematics event was so successful, that it garnered a cover article in “Notices of the American Mathematical Society” in which the event invitation was reproduced (p.859) – and an additional mention specifically calling out the event branding and visuals and applauding its cohesive design (p.840).
